Promotional Video at HOPE in Development to showcase HRC Clients

HOPE Resident Eddie Smith and his family considered many options before deciding on HOPE as the best long-term solution to ensuring that he would have safe, stable, and affordable housing for years to come.

HOPE Resident Eddie Smith and his family considered many options before deciding on HOPE as the best long-term solution to ensuring that he would have safe, stable, and affordable housing for years to come.

This Fall HOPE is scheduled to release a new video that tells the story of how its mission helps families find piece of mind and residents become empowered to gain self-sufficiency. Videographer, Mary Eble, has interviewed five Harbor Regional Center clients, as well as several HOPE and California MENTOR staff members to create the narrative that illustrates how stable, affordable housing is foundational in the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

This marketing tool will be utilized at HOPE at events, on our webpage, and in other electronic and social media communications. A target publication date is set for the end of September 2016.

Additional topics explored in the video are the long-term housing challenges faced by those most vulnerable in our community, housing as instrumental to people’s success in school, work, and socialization, as well as the dramatic, positive changes seen in the lives of HOPE tenants who have moved from state developmental centers into HOPE’s “most inclusive and least restrictive” housing models available within neighborhood settings.
